Tropical Space Lab is a monthly party series at Bar Open hosted by Saca La Mois DJ!! of the Cumbia Cosmonauts, globally lauded as "amongst the greatest producers of Bass with a Latin American influence". On Saturday 6 October the Cumbia Cosmonauts are making a rare appearance themselves to play two sets of their distinctive sound combining Caribbean offbeat rhythms with raw Afro club vibes, Jamaican dub elements, a sci-fi aesthetic, and ultimately an infectious shuffle-beat anyone can dance to. Producers Saca La Mois DJ!! and Soup are joined on stage by percussionist El Mas and Phaic VJ.

Also on the line-up this month is special guest performer Burundanga (pronounced "boor-oon-DAN-ga"), a producer from Medellin, Colombia, and best know for his old-style Cumbia remixes and world class Tropical House productions. Burundanga is also known as DJ JackPosada, under which moniker he incorporates elements of House Music with traditional rhythms derived from African rhythms giving a modern and clubby taste to his sets.

Every Tropical Space Lab event is also a visual experience, mixed live by Phaic VJ. Entry is free and the party starts at 10pm.
